Three Palms Villa is a luxury vacation rental home in Freeport, Grand Bahama. The website is a resource for potential renters to learn about the home, book a reservation, and contact the property manager. The website was built using WordPress and the Elementor block editor, and it is responsive on desktop and mobile devices. I also created a Facebook page and Google business (Google Maps) profile for the villa, to go along with the website.

The first fold of the website displays a large, brightly colored panoramic photo of the villa’s backyard. The first section of the home page is a gallery with thumbnails of photographs of the villa, which open into a scrollable photo gallery when clicked. This is followed by information about the villa’s location, with an image of a map showing the villa’s proximity to Taino Beach, and a Google Maps link. Next, the amenities and rates are listed with helpful icons. Finally, the booking section features two buttons: one to book a reservation and one to contact the property manager on WhatsApp. When clicked, the “Make a Reservation” button opens a form for the user to fill in. Finally, the footer contains contact information, the full color logo, and a repeat of the navigation.

The attractions page contains accordion tabs that have information about restaurants, golf courses, and things to do near the villa. There is also a Google Maps integration widget that shows the villa’s location, so the user can see the surrounding attractions in relation to the villa.

The font Red Hat Display was chosen for the website because it is web-safe, clean, and readable, and has attractive uppercase letters, which are used for headings. The colors used in the UI elements are cool periwinkle and charcoal gray. Cool periwinkle reminds the user of the ocean or island sky and represents the comfort of the villa. Charcoal gray has a cool and modern feel, and contrasts well with the bright colors of the photos and white of the background. The use of square buttons and images, thin type, outlined icons, and drop shadows, gives off a feeling of sleek modernity and luxury, which reflects the luxurious modern vacation rental that Three Palms Villa offers.
