DESCRIPTION

This brochure is for the conceptual organization, Bridge the Gap, a non-profit dedicated to bringing technology and educational opportunities to students in rural communities who may not have access to the tools for a modern education. It offers donations of electronic devices and school supplies, tutoring services, online classes, and field trips to students, and works toward bringing reliable high-speed internet to communities without it.

The tri-fold brochure is a direct mail piece that has space on the back side for postage, recipient address, and a barcode, conforming to USPS regulations. Shades of red-orange and blue, along with playful patterns, icons, and rounded shapes, reflect childhood whimsy and are clean and eye-catching. Brightly colored photos of children using technology help reinforce the organization’s mission.

The front of the brochure, with a pattern and large logo, entices the reader to open the brochure. The first flap features Bridge the Gap’s mission statement in a large font with eye-catching colors and illustrations. The inside lists the services the organization offers, how it was founded, and how it receives funding. The back is reserved for mailing information, contact information, hours of operation, and a powerful closing quote.

The Bridge the Gap logo is a visual representation of “bridging the gap,” wherein the word “the” in the name pieces together two halves of a divided bridge-like shape. The word “bridge” is curved and has ray-like lines above it, representing the sun rising over the horizon. This connects both to the connection with nature that rural communities value and the concept of bringing a brighter future to rural students. The logo is balanced and symmetrical, and the thick, sturdy typeface of Poppins Extrabold is used to convey strength and dependability. The color Pantone Bright Red C represents the orange of sunrise and is a bright, exciting color that captures children’s attention.
